The story

The Surf City All Stars bring firsthand Beach Boys band experience to the harmonies. Gary Griffin began recording and touring with the group in the ’70s; Philip Bardowell was selected by Carl Wilson, and Chris Farmer spent twelve years as musical director. David Logeman plays drums in the Los Angeles lineup; Aaron Broering handles guitar, keyboards, and vocals.

The repertoire includes “California Girls,” “God Only Knows,” “Good Vibrations,” and “Surf City.” It also draws on Jan & Dean songs, connecting the musicians’ touring background with a broad selection of surf-pop favorites.
